Technical Support

During the course of working on computers I frequently come across some problems that require quite a bit of time and research to find a solution for. Apart from the technical support type websites, a number of individuals have put helpful and useful information on their websites for the benefit of others. I have decided to do the same for the problems that I have experienced and the solutions I have found.

Skype

Skype is the popular computer program that can be used to make free telephone calls over the Internet to other Skype users. It also has additional paid for features such as Skype Out (making calls to standard telephone numbers) and SMS messages. Using Skype which is installed on your own computer is fine but what if, like me, you wanted to use it on any computer where you happened to be such as an Internet Cafe? This technical guide will show you how to copy the Skype program on to a USB flash memory stick and then run the program entirely from the memory stick without having to install it on the host computer. Click on the Skype link.
